GENERAL INFORMATION - What you NEED to know! 

Is the festival all ages?  
Yes.  OMF is all ages children under the age of 15 must be accompanied

by a legal guardian .

• What is the date and the time of the festival?
Saturday, November 5 from 11am to 10.00pm

• Where is the festival held?
Coolum beach soccer grounds, David Low way, Coolum beach

• What times do festival gates open?
11am Saturday, November 5th, 2016

• Do I have to wear a wristband?
Yes everyone within the festival is required to wear a wristband at all times. On entry to the festival, your ticket will be exchanged for a wristband. Your wristband will act as your pass so it must be worn at all times. Without the wristband you will not gain entry.

• Can I drink alcohol at the festival?
Yes. You must be over 18 years to drink alcohol. There will be a licensed area within the festival venue. Please ensure to bring
along a valid and current form of photo ID (eg license, passport, Australia Post keypass, and proof of age card). All alcoholic beverages must be consumed within the designated areas. You can purchase drink tickets and exchange these for beverages at the designated bar areas. Bags will be inspected upon entry be security. No alcohol may be bought into the festival as it is against liquor licensing laws. It will be confiscated and disposed of and you will risk not being approved entry if you are caught.

Can I park at The festival?  

There is plenty of parking available at The venue on the newly built grounds off Sea cove lane Parking is prohibited on the side of David Low way. car park and behind the camping grounds. Parking at the festival site is $5 per car. Catching the charter bus service is highly recommended which will take you to and from the festival.
Please organize your transport home in advance.  More information on the charter bus service will be forthcoming.

• Can I buy food at the festival?
Definitely! There will be a great variety of food stalls available at the festival venue.

• Can I bring food, drink or alcohol into the festival?
No food is to be brought into the festival. If you have allergies that require food to be brought please explain your situation to security at the front gates. Sealed bottled water may be brought into the festival, but we have bottled water for sale and free water onsite so it’s not really necessary! All bags will be searched on entry by security.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES CAN ALCOHOL BE BROUGHT INTO THE FESTIVAL.

• Is there an ATM at the festival?
Yes ATM machines are available within the festival grounds?

•  What should I bring?
ID – you must present your ID on entry to the festival to validate age (acceptable forms of identification are DRIVERS LICENCE,
PASSPORT, AUST POST KEYPASS and PROOF OF AGE CARD in accordance with liquor licensing laws) Remember to include your contact details on any medication in case you happen to lose medication and it can be handed in. Money and tickets. There will be no refunds for tickets purchased in advance. Sun protection  including hat and sunscreen. If you choose to bring a jacket you can leave it in the cloak room. If it’s forecast to rain bring along wet weather gear as the festival will continue rain, hail or shine. For safety reasons UMBRELLAS ARE NOT ALLOWED INTO THE FESTIVAL. You can bring a picnic rug, collapsible camping chairs, inflatables however these must not be within 100m of main stage.


• What should I leave at home?
Pets, director chairs, umbrellas, esky’s, glass , alcohol or drugs, weapons (including pocket knives), fireworks and anything
flammable or dangerous. These items will be confiscated on entry.

• Can I bring my camera?
Yes you can bring a small still camera or digital camera.  Professional cameras or recording devices will be confiscated.

• Is there anything I need to know about the festival?

If you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol you will be refused entry. For the safety of all patrons we have the right to
refuse entry where we see fit. There will be fencing patrolled by security guards at all times, so forget about trying to sneak in.
Police will deal with any offenders. Crowd surfing in not permitted and mashers risk being ejected from the festival venue and refused further entry.

•  Will first-aid be available?

Yes there will be two first aid areas at the festival. Our friends, RED FROGS will also be there to rehydrate you if you get into
trouble.

• Can I buy merchandise at the festival?

Yes definitely! There will be a stall at the festival where you can purchase artist merchandise. You will also be able to purchase
official Originlas Music Festival merchandise.

• Are pass-out permitted?

For the safety of all patrons, there are strictly NO pass-outs at The Originals Music Festival. This means once you leave the festival, your wristband will be removed and you will be unable to gain entry back into the festival. If you believe that you have a legitimate reason to leave the festival, please email us to discuss your circumstances. We thank you for your understanding and hope to make this the best day for you, so you won’t want to leave!
